Our Story
DIXIEPLY was founded by the Bradley family in 1944 with its first distribution center in Atlanta. Now with 11 locations across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas, DIXIEPLY distributes products from industry leaders such as James Hardie, Boise Engineered Wood, Columbia Forest Products, Funder America, Egger and many more. Our longstanding relationships with vendors and customers help distinguish DIXIEPLY from our competitors.
By dedicating our company to quality and service, we have become one of the largest independent distributors of building materials in the country, serving customers from Dixie Plywood locations across the Southeast and Texas.
In 2019, Dixie Plywood and Lumber Company became a 100% employee-owned company. This means that our employees are part owners and benefit financially from a job well done. We believe that our employees should share in the success and growth of our company and that is accomplished through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
