As the world slowly normalizes from the chaos and challenges of 2020, trade shows begin to make a resurgence. At the beginning of June, several Dixie branches participated in the Closets Conference and Expo hosted in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Expo catered to designers and fabricators, represented vendors from all facets of the industry and offered a series of conferences focused on upcoming trends and movements. Attendance was better than expected with the majority of attendees arriving from different parts of the country and the world.
In an effort to showcase and promote our top melamine and acrylic lines, Dixie Plywood commissioned a luxury closet using decors from EGGER, DixieLam and Stylelite.
EGGER, an Austrian-based company, recently built and opened a plant in Lexington, NC. A supplier and manufacturer of particleboard, flooring and melamine, EGGER produces a beautiful line of durable, modern TFL designs.
Stylelite offers the premier gloss and matte acrylic materials available in a variety of sleek designs and colors. A defining feature of Stylelite is its thermoformable properties. Through the use of a heat bar, both laminates and panels can be bent at 45 degree angle for stunning, seamless edges.
DixieLam by Funder America is exclusively distributed by the Dixie Plywood branches. This melamine line provides a variety of affordable solid colors and woodgrains perfect for closets and kitchens alike.
Thanks to the excellent manufacturing and design work by Doors Lifestyle, Dixie Plywood’s display stood out among the many vendors. Our sales and SPEC reps were able to highlight the key features of each product with physical representations and sample books. Many attendees expressed particular interest in Stylelite after observing the thermoformed, seamless edges on the closet display. Overall, we were excited to be exhibiting and meeting with current and new customers. We felt the experience was both rewarding and profitable for Dixie Plywood and our vendors.
